Frequently Asked Questions

Advantages & Convenience

  1. With the Fixchip, time and money are saved. The connection comes directly from the nesting CNC, without any post-processing. No secondary operations or additional machines are necessary, minimizing damage caused by extra internal transport and eliminating unnecessary steps.
  2. Working with consistently high precision results in cleaner finishes.
  3. All machining is carried out with the main spindle.
  4. As soon as the panel comes off the nesting CNC, it is immediately ready for final assembly. This allows companies to scale up faster.

Yes. Because we consider quality extremely important, we have our own cutters manufactured by Leitz GmbH. Leitz is an intensive partner of Fixchip. Together we redevelop the tools, eliminating the need for self-experimentation. This means you can expect immediate results from our tools!

The Fixchip tool dimensions are 6mm and 35mm and are made with Leitz DIA material, ensuring quality is no longer an issue. The 6mm cutter has a 6mm shank, and the 35mm cutter has a 12mm shank.

Yes, we offer a sample kit so you can experience the connection in your own workshop.

As a next step, a starter kit is available. This starter kit contains the tools and enough Fixchips to test yourself.

CNC & Production

Yes, the connector was developed to be used on any nesting CNC machine, regardless of brand. The macros for using Fixchip connectors are made available and supported by many manufacturers and software providers.

If there is no interest in this, every delivery of Fixchips comes with a user manual in which the operations are explained step by step so you can program them yourself. In addition, every local Leitz partner is ready to ensure the tools are used optimally.

In practice, our customers often save 20–40% production time, depending on the project and scale. This gain is achieved because all operations are carried out on the nesting CNC itself.

Fixchip makes it possible to simplify the machine park with a nesting CNC. This eliminates the traditional methods of sawing, milling, and drilling. In some cases, this means that two or even three machines become unnecessary, without loss of quality. Naturally, this saving also affects available workspace, personnel, and not least, significant energy savings.

MDF, plywood, particle board, and solid wood. The most commonly used sheet materials.

General

Fixchip is a smart, invisible nesting connector that allows you to quickly, neatly, and firmly connect panels together. It was specially developed for production on nesting CNC machines.

For interior builders, furniture makers, and kitchen manufacturers who want to work faster and more efficiently without compromising on quality and appearance.

Both the Fixchip and Fixchip Mini are connectors made from HDF material (Egger). Our products are also provided with a PEFC or FSC certificate. This ensures the quality and origin of the materials we use.

Ordering & Support

Yes, you can start small and scale up later. In addition to our sample kit and starter kit, we sell our Fixchip and Fixchip Mini in recyclable (or reusable) buckets of 1000 or 5000 pieces.

Orders can be placed directly on our own website at www.fixchip.com or via our worldwide partner Hafele GmbH in your region.

Strength & Reliability

Absolutely! The connection has been extensively tested and provides more than enough strength for cabinets, kitchens, and interior solutions.

Yes. The Fixchip can be mounted with glue for a permanent solution, or with a screw connection making it demountable. With the screw connection, assembly in hard-to-reach places is still possible without compromising on quality.

It is good to know that Fixchips, together with Wurth GmbH, will soon offer the ideal Fixchip screw. Available later this year!

Absolutely. Our customers are our ambassadors, and we are happy to go the extra mile for them!
